About the Role
Are you an experienced Project Manager with a passion for engineering and a background in the food industry? Biscuit International is seeking a motivated Group Engineering Project Manager to lead our engineering projects and drive continuous improvement.
As Group Engineering Project Manager, you will be responsible for developing, preparing, and implementing technical solutions across various business units. You’ll collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders, working with teams in engineering, marketing, procurement, sales, and operations to align project goals and streamline processes.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop and formalize technical solutions and project proposals, establishing strong relationships with all stakeholders.
- Drive technical solutions and investment processes while ensuring alignment across departments.
- Lead multiple engineering projects, ensuring adherence to timelines, budgets, and engineering standards.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project scope, objectives, and goals.
- Create detailed project plans, including design specifications, schedules, resource allocation, and risk management strategies.
- Monitor project progress and performance, implementing adjustments as needed to keep projects on track.
- Facilitate clear communication with stakeholders and provide regular updates on project status.
- Conduct project evaluations and post-project reviews to identify successes and areas for improvement.
- Ensure compliance with safety regulations, quality standards, and Biscuit International’s best practices.
- Act as project manager for large CAPEX projects (C1 or C2) within Biscuit International, coordinating from design through to implementation and commissioning, and overseeing project delivery and supplier engagements.
What you bring?
- Technical Expertise: Knowledge of equipment and machinery through experience in production maintenance, OEM, or engineering services, ideally in the food industry. Project Management Skills: Strong knowledge of project management methodologies (e.g., Agile, PMP) and tools (e.g., MS Project, Trello).
- Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or a related field (Master’s degree preferred).
- Proven experience as a Project Manager in an engineering environment (5+ years preferred).
- Leadership & Organization: Excellent leadership, organizational, and multitasking abilities. Communication & Collaboration: Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
- Preferred Certifications: Project Management certification (PMP, PRINCE2) is an advantage.
- Relevant Industry Experience: Background in the biscuit/bakery industry or similar sectors such as agro-food, pharmaceuticals, or FMCG.
